Target Audience: Prospective students who have just graduated from high school & have not yet started taking math courses at UDST & seeking additional help to prepare for UDST’s Academic Math Placement. It is intended for students of all disciplines to help strengthen their fundamental

Mathematics preparatory essential skills course that focuses on strengthening a student's foundation in algebra and trigonometry. In addition, students will learn key mathematical vocabulary needed to understand each topic. Topics include functions, factoring, solving equations, rational expressions and equations, polynomials, simplifying exponential expressions, and basic trigonometry using the Unit Circle or Special Triangles. This course focuses on developing essential technical mathematical skills in functions and analytical trigonometry to ensure success in a Pre-Calculus course. PREREQUISITES: EITHER: 1. AMP1 score below a 60% OR 2. AMP1 score above a 60% BUT a. Did not take AMP2 OR b. Did not score above a 75% on AMP2.
